How To Put A Face On Iraq

THE IRAQ WAR HAS NO FACE:

For sometime now I have been trying to figure out, what is wrong with this war? This is a question I find hard to fathom. I am just unable to put my finger on it. Could it be all the lies we have been told? The obfuscation of truth? The pettiness of which this administration uses, so to make us seems lest then we are whenever we dare to ask any questions of this war to those in command of this war? Is it the blatant disregard for the troops in the absence of promises made but never followed through? The war profits being made on the backs of good men and women fighting for the freedoms of a people down on their luck and unable to pull themselves up to the imagined Democracy, we say they must have in order to exist as free people? Question after question follows itself, like a puppy chasing its own tail. The never ending quest for resolve and the end of spinning like a whirling dervish, seeking the final truth? The last true realization? The net result? A definitive verdict? An end to debate or questioning? That which concludes the final chapter? The end? How about none of the above. There is no end in sight. There will never be an end in sight. No matter how much you pray for one. Or ask for one. Or have a need for one. You must come to an unavoidably inevitable conclusion: This war has no face. Yes.It, this is the one truth that must be explored and placed upon placed under a microscope for all to see. Close up and firsthand. This war is faceless.This war is much like the haunting black mask that Mozart’s father wears in the movie Amadeus. This war dresses in the dual mask of some demented and evil harlequin, bent on near demonic purposes and malicious deeds, and characterized by a desire to do harm. On one face of the mask represents happiness. All is going well. The Surge is working. Iraqis are ready to stand up and fight for their own country. The green zone is peaceful and the people are happy. Candy and flowers abound. The Sunni, The Kurds. The Shia and the Shiite are more than ready to lay down their arm and live in harmony. All is right with the world.

First, you have the other side of the mask. The face of scorn. Anger. Ruthlessness. The scary face. The maleficent side of the dark coin, prompted by malign motives and appearing to wish evil on others. Both side are there. Both side exist. Both are a reality, which seen to take place, both at the same time. Without reserve and without and pretension. So now ask yourself, why is this? We have not given this war a face. We hide its nuances behind a mask of our choosing. We created the mask and gave it life. We are to blame for that duality. We are alone to blame for that reality. We fashioned and form that mask and we then we forced every man, woman and child. Every contractor and military man and woman to wear that mask for one reason one. We lied. We lied because we were lied to. The lie was created not out of spite or anger or even conviction. The lie was created to only one reason alone. Greed. People are making money off this war and they don't want you to come to terms with it. This war that has no face exist for only one reason which is the other face of greed, profits. Pure and simple profits. Profits are easy on the eyes. Profits make people happy. Money is joy and a gift and a boon to those making those profits. This is the happy face of the dark mask. For it does not matter who gets killed or maimed or loosed family members, loved ones and friend. Profits are good and good for you. The face of scorn on the other side of the face. Where the actual killing and maiming and terror and rape and bloodshed reside. The face that frightens you in the middle of the night, making you to see bogy-men at every street corner. In your closet and under your bed.The Scorn side of the mask, is to keep you under control. Ask no questions. Be obedient and follow all the rules. Even when there are no real rules, or plans, or structure or mandate.

So there you have it. The entire ugly, Godforsaken truth laid out bare and naked before you. All except one little question. How can you make all this end? Once and for all. Forever? The answer is this: You must be brave enough to rip the mask from the face of the person forcing us all to wear that dual mask. Then we are free of its grip. We must all be privy to flag draped coffins brought fresh in from Iraq and Afghanistan. We must be exposed to the reality that is really going on overseas. Every news agency must develop a conscience. Showing the flag draped coffin, of those who fought so valiantly for the 935 lies, which caused their death in the first place. That, would give this war a face. And we would have to look upon that ugly, godforsaken face and see, what we have done. So let us rip the 935 lies that created this mask in the first place and look upon the real face of this war and more likely than not, we shall see the angry faces of an entire Nation, sure to be at the doors of Washington DC, screaming for impeachment.
