Xaxeptance Gets an Invite

Xaxeptance449 is an acquaintance of mine from another board. He/She posted this on the War Board this morning:at 3 and it was sent to my by my dear friend Deb.

"When I wake up hot, hear babies crying, even the drunks and all night partygoers are silent. Bright raucous parrot finally perched cage covered finally with eyes open into the dim light of the room my mind searches for a name just one name so I can sleep. Am I the only one who searches, who needs to know? Tell me who died in Iraq! Tell me who went over there thinking they would return having done their duty; ready for school, homesick as hell; somebodys husband, a son's smiling picture over the fireplace. Tell me the names of those dead in Iraq so I can sleep as they sleep dead to the world and god dont tell me anymore. 16 soldiers died today. 4 soldiers were ambushed, 1 was shot by a sniper. These arent unmanned drones lazily cruising over sand shot down by missiles. These are men in their prime with blood in their veins, guys who drink beer and fart to get a laugh; kids who just wrote their sweetheart, fear stuffed tightly between scalp and helmet. Who are they god damn it, tell me so I can sleep and feel human again and grieve knowing that to care is not a casualty in this lied-about, absolutely-unecessary, insane war."

That is a commentary on the humanity and inhumanity of this "war". Those who would argue that this has to be done is speaking from the point of a con-man. He doesn't know....he may be right, he may be wrong, but he DOES NOT KNOW. And it is his confidence that sells over his logic. That is our president....confidence...oh, yeah. He's got that in spades. Logic......Let's just say it has been many a year since I have heard the words "logical" and "President's Policy" in the same sentence.

Xax blew me away with His poetry last night. It was as he felt MY pain, MY outrage and He couldn't hold it in no more.
It was beautiful, poignant and it touched me, soothed me, right where I hurt.
We all hurt. There is no reason, no sense, no logic to this so called war.
I want to explode with the word WHYYYYYYYYYYYY?
The rational woman inside me knows I cannot, in this 'polite' society, let loose.
XAX let loose last night, and Bless Him for doing so.
Thank You, XaX.

I look into my Son's brown

eyes

Knowing His truth, His duty

He lies

A desert far, so far, from

here

Barely old enough to drink

a beer

Are You okay, Son?

Are You well?

His lips speak

yes

His eyes flash

hell

The truth

dances

between us

both

elusive

truth

Sometimes blogs take awhile to catch on. Huck, keep up the writing as I know a lot of friends read this.

Sturange, your persistant motivation is an inspiration in and of itself. Thanks. The blog will take a back seat to work the rest of this week, but I have sent 20 e-mails and five hand written letters to my senators and representatives in Washington...if people keep it up, they have to listen or lose my support in the future. Forget the word "vote", call your vote "support" then tell them they will lose it...watch how fast they turn their collective heads.

Huck Your writing is beautiful, simply put. Persistance is what is needed, I like to think of it as motivation, my Friend.
There are still a bunch of good people on this old ball we reside on.
